I`ve had an amazing life & grateful for all the experiences & people I have met along the way which has shaped whom I have become.
My careers have spanned from education to hospitality & the creative to philanthropic sectors.
I`m not `high maintenance`nor a shopper. I love connecting with nature, I also like boats, classic bikes (I have an old BSA) & I'm curious & marvel about the world around us; always learning.
I came into sailing in 2021 & it has changed my life. I'm still a novice sailor although I did sail to the Algarve from Dartmouth with two friends over 6 incredible weeks in the summer of 2024. I own a 30ft sailboat on the Tamar near Plymouth & happy to get stuck in with boat maintenance doing what I can myself, although mechanics & electrics still flummoux me but I'm learning!
Coming out of a long term relationship, I moved to Somerset from Kent in 2021. I put a pin in the map, 2 hrs 10 minutes between both my children - Minehead in the middle it was! I have strong family values.
I`m more at home in villages/small towns, the countryside & near/on the ocean, although I do love visiting cities of culture & heritage out of season. Planning to return to Pompeii as didn't see enough the first time!
I tread lightly on the planet, wear only a little make up - natural & just me! Happy in my sailing/walking/motorcycle boots or sexy high heels & little black number when the occasion arises! However, I`ll normally be dressed casually in jeans. I have a calm & positive disposition & have no time for drama or pressure.
I prefer the road less travelled as I don't follow the crowd, so cruises with thousands of people or organised coach trips leave me cold & not my thing I'm afraid! I suppose I'm a bit of an independent free spirit going where the road or wind takes me & therefore, a little different to most - hopefully you are too!!!
