About her
Why this feels so difficult I’m not sure, but if we are fortunate enough to happen upon a like-minded soul - well, how joyful would that be?
So here goes…
I am a happy, easy-going, patient person, who is generally pretty content. Just missing that counter balance.
I really enjoy being outdoors, bodyboarding, snorkelling, even sand in my sandwiches! My grown-up children, with whom the above activities usually take place describe my efforts as enthusiastic, definitely not elegant!
I studied horticulture and plant sciences and worked happily amongst the chlorophytes and substrate for many years. These days I get my hit from visiting National Trust gardens and arboretums. I now work for an engineering company, very small, very niche and yes, very different. But come the apocalypse I will be useful to know - I can grow the fungi and rebuild a Solex carburettor. Sorted!
I am originally from the Cambridgeshire Fens. No webbed feet though, I promise. Spent significant time in North Norfolk on the coast and am now down in deepest, darkest Somerset on the edge of the Levels. All equally beautiful and all very different - although there is a watery theme going on!
I am open to my next location…
I am quite ‘homely’ and can be completely content just pottering. I don’t need constant entertaining and, sometimes I simply love being quiet, lost in my thoughts. However, I do like a kitchen disco and an episode of Jack Dee and “I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue”, and I’m happy.
Oh, and I do like a strong espresso and a Portuguese tart!
I have much love and loyalty to give the ‘right’ partner but do expect this in return. Worryingly, this is turning out to be a much harder task than first thought, and concerns of looking forward to doing the recycling is fast becoming a reality!
My photos are all from the last four years, but finding ‘suitable’ ones was a challenge - you just don’t,take photos of yourself, do you?

I am looking for someone who is kind and genuine - no need to have conquered the world or be working on the next big thing! Rather someone who has strong family values and an open heart.
Maybe someone who would enjoy (endure) sitting up all night on a hill with dark sky and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps, waiting for the comet that was supposed to show two hours ago…
Someone who might find spotting wobbly glass in windows of old houses as you wander through a quaint village, as fascinating as me.
Someone to share the good times with and to have your back, as I would theirs, during the bumpy bits.
