I am a warm and sociable person who enjoys the small things in life as well as the wider world.
I am quite a strong and independent woman and have a wide circle of friends and various interests, but really miss being in a significant relationship with a mature man, following the death of my husband seven years ago.
I had to retire early as NHS Manager due to health issues and have since become involved in my local community, wildlife gardening, a peace movement, environmental causes and two choirs. My younger son, aged 20, still lives with me, while my older son has set up his own home.

I don't have a 'type' as such. I appreciate that no-one can know at the beginning if things work out, but I am looking for a serious committed long-term relationship.
