About him
Our retirement dream of touring in our camper van has been shattered. My (female) partner has had three strokes and will never be able to come home again. I visit her every day, but desperately need someone to talk with.
The dog is a great listener, but a rubbish conversationalist
Trying to keep strong I still take the occasional short trip away in our van with Toggle, our Westie (dog) - hence the profile name.
I like touring in our campervan, conversation, eating out, aircraft ( I am ex-RAF), and generally easy going. Before I retired to be a full time carer, I worked as a University Lecturer - engineering. I'm practical and (I like to think) good company and conversation.
About his ideal match
My ideal match would be my partner coming home - but this is never going to happen, so new friends would need to be good listeners, solvent, ideally 40 - 55 (I'm 60) and enjoy touring - ideally with their own camper van.
They would need to love dogs, exploring and ideally visiting military museums and places of interest. Watching sunsets and walking the dog
Like 80s music, motorbikes and enjoying life. I'm not looking for a replacement 'significant other' but let us see together how things develop
